WEEE (Amendment) Regulations give further guidance on disposal of computer equipment.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) came into force a year ago, on 2 January 2007. It aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.
All businesses that use electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) must comply with the WEEE Regulations. You must store, collect, treat, recycle and dispose of WEEE separately from your other waste.
