About the role

Reporting to the PMO, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of various size cloud-based projects. You will plan, implement, report and manage the projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from start to closure and handover to support.

This position will suit an IT project professional who enjoys working with external clients, in a fast-paced environment, recognises an importance of collaboration and excellent communication (both internally and with client stakeholders).

About the role

Reporting to the PMO, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of various size cloud-based projects. You will plan, implement, report and manage the projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from start to closure and handover to support.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary interface with the DA clients, ensuring adherence to:
    • agreed project scope
    • defining schedules
    • planning resource allocations
    • managing risks and issues
    • tracking finances and handing completed projects over into support
  • Plan, manage, optimise and report on the progress and delivery of projects from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure the overall delivery, correct and efficient resource utilisation
  • Apply appropriate levels of governance and documentation for each project
  • Record time spent on projects
  • Ensure that project progress, budgets and issues are reported to the PMO

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Prince2 Practitioner or other recognised qualifications
  • An understanding of the different Project Management concepts (e.g., Prince, Agile, Scrum etc) and when to apply them
  • Experience of a broad range of IT Managed Services (delivering Cloud Infrastructure, Networking, on-premise infrastructure, etc)
  • Extensive and demonstrable IT Project Management experience
  • Experience of managing and delivering projects for external clients
  • Experience of delivering multiple projects of multiple sizes in parallel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of the financial governance of a project (i.e. budget tracking, invoicing, changes to scope etc)
  • Experience of planning and coordinating project resources
  • Experience of working within cross-functional teams
  • Proficient level of spoken and written English
  • An appreciation of the competing demands associated with the wider project delivery function across the Company

  • An interest in working on projects delivering new technologies
  • Keen to share knowledge
  • Excellent collaborator and team player
  • Ability to follow business procedures (such as weekly highlight reporting and project tracking)
